China's Ministry of Commerce submitted comments on the EU Cybersecurity Law draft, expressing serious concerns. It points out the draft violates WTO rules, abuses power, and will harm China-EU trade and global supply chains. China calls on the EU to abandon Cold War mentality, revise the draft, otherwise it will take countermeasures.

According to Huangpu Customs, Zengcheng West Station issued 102 international trains (up 24%) and 10302 TEUs (up 31%) in Q1 2026. E-commerce trains grew 150x in TEUs. Customs innovated supervision (e.g., "two inspections in one") to improve efficiency. The station forms a logistics network covering 34 cities in 17 countries, exporting Bay Area products.

On April 18, goods via Railway Express (fast customs clearance) departed Pinghu for Duisburg. Shenzhen’s trains have 28 routes to 47 regions; Q1 2026 saw 64 trains (up 72.97% YoY) worth 2.187b yuan, supporting GBA and Belt & Road.

National Bureau of Statistics data shows China's service industry added value rose 5.2% YoY in Q1 2026, accounting for 61.7% of GDP. Modern sectors like info tech and leasing grew rapidly, with new drivers expanding. Policy support and positive indicators (e.g., 50.2% business activity index in March) signal strong high-quality development momentum.

China's 2026 Q1 GDP grew 5.0% YoY, with stable growth providing global public goods. Green products exports surged, Belt and Road trade rose 14.2%, and China opened scientific infrastructure to the world, demonstrating its responsible major power role.

According to Shanghai Customs, Shanghai Port exported 839,000 vehicles (up 48.7% YoY) in Q1 this year, with 479,000 electric vehicles (79.2%). On April 15th, a China Europe freight train loaded with over 400 tons of goods departed Guangzhou International Port via Erenhot Port. Since 2022 launch, Guangzhou Customs supervised over 1 million tons of cargo, 1566 trains, 146800 containers. Goods upgraded to high value-added (new energy vehicles, etc.), with 19 stable routes serving 4000+ enterprises. Customs facilitates clearance, driving GBA foreign trade high-quality development.

Zhengzhou Customs reports Q1 Zhengzhou Airport's supervised international cargo/mail up 21.8% (163200 tons) and flights up 11.8% (4850). It strengthened mechanisms, optimized routes, innovated clearance (e.g., "zone-port integration"), boosted fresh food imports (up 80.03% in batches), bringing dividends for Henan's foreign trade.

Gongbei Customs uses the "Three Joint and Three Same" regulatory model to facilitate Macau aquatic products supply, expand to processed foods, boost Greater Bay Area integration, cut clearance time, and replicate the model, releasing policy dividends.

The first offline exhibition of the 139th Canton Fair ended on April 19 with 324 new product launches, attracting 167,000 overseas buyers (up 5.9% YoY). It added 9 popular zones, promoted trade investment integration, and the second themed exhibition ("Quality Home Furnishings") will be held April 23-27.

On April 17th, the 27th China-Switzerland Joint Economic and Trade Commission meeting was co-chaired in Bern. It discussed upgrading the China-Switzerland FTA, leveraging innovation advantages, and strengthening cooperation in digital economy, green environmental protection, etc., amid China's 15th Five-Year Plan and the 10th anniversary of their innovation partnership.

At the Dutch Shandong Industrial Cooperation Week, the Ecological Environment Special Dialogue was held. Netherlands and Shandong discussed circular economy, waste resource utilization, agricultural cooperation (facilities, precision, seed industry). Shandong’s 2025 agri output exceeded 1.3T yuan, trade with Netherlands reached 59.49B yuan (+0.3% YoY).

On April 1, 2026, 275,000 Atlantic salmon fertilized eggs from Iceland arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Shanghai Customs completed clearance efficiently. The eggs will be sent to Nordik Aquatic's Ningbo base for breeding. With growing domestic demand, 2025 import volume rose nearly 50% year-on-year. Customs adopted 7×24h mechanism, dedicated fast track to ensure smooth entry, supporting aquaculture development.

Shanghai Customs data shows Shanghai's beauty cosmetics/toiletries exports (Jan-Feb 2026) were 990M yuan (+22.4% YoY); Oriental Beauty Valley (Fengxian) had 310M yuan (+48.1% YoY). Growth is driven by Customs' "Eleven Measures" (optimize inspection, innovate regulation, improve efficiency), including white list for R&D imports, remote inspection, reduced sampling, with 22 Fengxian enterprises on the list as of Feb 2026.

Recently, the "Hefei-Dubai" international cargo route completed its official maiden flight from Hefei Xinqiao Airport to Dubai. As a Middle East hub, Dubai supports global cross-border e-commerce. The route helps Anhui integrate into the Belt and Road. Hefei Customs ensured smooth operation with facilitation measures and will continue optimizing services.

Longyangxia in Qinghai is a top cold water fish farming base. Xining Customs offers full-chain support (quarantine, supervision, fast release) for its salmon/trout. Exports grew 29.4% in Jan-Feb 2026, making it a Qinghai opening-up business card.

承德杏产品（杏仁、杏干等）经企业循环经济加工，依托承德海关优化服务（绿色通道、政策推送等）出口海外，2026年第一季度出口额925.5万元同比增81.3%，助力乡村振兴与外贸高质量发展。

On April 15, Yantai launched its first transit cargo Central Asia train (Incheon-Yantai-Khorgos sea rail intermodal). Containers from Incheon reach Yantai via ferry then rail to Khorgos for Central Asia. Yantai Port’s hub optimizes transit, cutting time/cost by over 30%. Yantai Customs supervised 955 intermodal containers this year, up 2.5x YoY.

In recent years, China-Vietnam economic alignment has strengthened. Ningbo's Jan-Feb trade with Vietnam rose 27.2% to 7.52b yuan. Rubber imports (up 27.5%) and light industrial exports benefit from ASEAN FTA zero tariffs. Haishu Customs supports enterprises with policy guidance and origin certificates (7225 issued in Q1).
