The 21st China Cixi Home Appliances Expo opened yesterday (3-day event). With 5 halls (Cixi enterprises over 65%), it highlights smart home appliances (revenue over 100b yuan last year) and pet economy (pet appliance exports over 21m yuan). 16 supporting activities are held simultaneously.

According to Ningbo Customs, Ningbo's import & export to Belt and Road countries reached 127.35 billion yuan (up 9.3%) in Jan-Feb 2026, with exports up 18.6%. Key export products include electromechanical goods; imports top from Indonesia, etc. Fubeibei and Kechuang Aluminum saw growth, with the latter building a Malaysia base.

Ningbo Free Trade Zone Customs issued the first China ASEAN Free Trade Zone mobile certificate to Ningbo Zhejin Steel Co., Ltd., saving over $200,000 in tariffs. Customs provided policy guidance and green channel, and will optimize services to help foreign trade enterprises reduce costs and expand markets.

On the second day of the 21st China Cixi Home Appliances Expo, the pet small appliances section is popular. Cixi enterprises launch innovative pet products amid the booming pet economy. 2025 export exceeded 21 million yuan; 2026 US exports up 744.82% year-on-year.

Since early 2026, Ningbo Port's foreign trade maintained double-digit growth (12.9% YoY in Jan-Feb). Private enterprises dominated (78.9% share), EU/ASEAN trade grew, new three types products (EVs, lithium batteries) had strong exports. Ningbo Customs will optimize services for steady growth.

Ningbo Customs announced Ningbo Port's Jan-Feb 2026 import/export hit 494.45b yuan, up 12.9% YoY. EU is top partner; Belt and Road trade rose 17%. New energy vehicle exports surged 144.5%. Surrounding area trade via Ningbo Port grew 16%.

Recently, Hangzhou Customs announced that from Jan-Feb 2026, it issued 219,000 FTA origin certificates (valued 55.96b yuan), helping enterprises save ~2.8b yuan in tariffs. Enterprises like Zhejiang Hongsheng Chemical and Yate Electric benefited from FTAs (RCEP, etc.), with customs providing targeted support.

Hangzhou Customs implements measures like zero-wait clearance, conditional removal, and 7×24h inspection to ensure efficient customs clearance of imported seedlings for spring plowing, while adhering to biosafety to prevent harmful organisms.

On March 16, 2026, the General Administration of Customs and 24 other departments launched the 2026 Cross-border Trade Facilitation Special Action in 45 cities (expanded from 25 in 2025). It focuses on optimizing trade and proposes measures to improve foreign trade quality and efficiency.

China's NPC and CPPCC policies, four new business opportunities (super large market, service industry, innovation ecology, open highland), and government measures boost foreign investment confidence. Foreign firms like McDonald's, Baode Group plan expansion; over 90% will continue investing, shifting from "in China for China" to "in China for the world".

Haikou Customs announced on March 18th that the first batch of goods with relaxed trade management and cancelled import licenses at Hainan Free Trade Port completed customs clearance, marking the policy's official implementation. It reduces costs, increases efficiency for enterprises, and promotes trade liberalization. Haikou Customs will continue optimizing services for Hainan FTP policies.

Beijing Hyundai, Beijing's only whole vehicle processing & trade export enterprise, achieved dual growth in 2025 complete vehicle and engine exports. Shunyi Customs assisted it via normalized communication, and the "enterprise self inspection result recognition model" (launched in March 2025) cut customs verification manpower by 50% and cycle to 7 days, boosting customs-enterprise efficiency.

Early spring plums from Liaoning's Gaizhou were exported after Bayuquan Customs inspection. Customs provided emergency procedures, tailored pest control, green channel, and compliance help. First two months 2026 export of early fruits hit 51.55 tons (1.4671M yuan) with big YoY growth.

Tianjin Customs released 2025-2026 import/export goods quality safety data (inspection batches, unqualified rates), key unqualified categories (cars, medical equipment, children's goods), and AI-powered risk warning system improvements to protect consumers.

According to Yinchuan Customs, the autonomous region's 2026 Jan-Feb foreign trade totaled 3.81b yuan (23.9% YoY growth). Private enterprises led, Belt and Road trade grew 45.9%, with strong growth in mechanical/electrical exports and metal ore imports. Customs optimized services to boost foreign trade.

Yinchuan’s agricultural product exports in Jan-Feb 2026 rose 76.5% YoY to 120 million yuan, with goji berries, wine (up 209.2%) and dehydrated veggies as key products. New breakthroughs: first frozen beef liver export, fresh flowers via TIR+bonded to Central Asia. Main markets: US/EU (35% share, 139.8% up) and ASEAN (22%, 48.5% up). Xingqing Customs will optimize policies and clearance to boost foreign trade.

In the first two months of 2026, Yantai Customs (supervised by Qingdao Customs) imported copper concentrate worth 6.55 billion yuan (40% YoY growth). It innovates "smart transfer inspection" to cut port detention time/costs, benefiting enterprises like Shandong Hengbang. Yantai Customs will deepen smart construction to support Shandong's bulk commodity hub.

Yantai Customs under Qingdao Customs seized 35.1kg of frozen crabs illegally brought into the country by an inbound passenger via the airport no-declaration channel. Aquatic animal products are prohibited per China's quarantine rules; the items are temporarily detained.

Qingdao Dagang Customs seized 12 grassland rattlesnake pendant specimens in the inbound express channel. The specimens were found in a parcel declared as "Pendant". Rattlesnake specimens carry health and ecological risks and are prohibited from entering China; customs has lawfully seized them.

Ma'anshan's down feather exports grew 72.3% YoY to 145M yuan in 2025. Ma'anshan Guangxun obtained EU export qualification via Customs guidance, resolved issues, and uses smart clearance (10min certificates) and dynamic warnings. Exports go to Germany, Vietnam, Myanmar.
