Yesterday, in the production workshop of Ningbo Hebeishi Health Technology Co., Ltd., the extraction equipment continued to operate, and technicians stared at the screen to check the process parameters. Workers in the packaging area were busy weighing, packaging, and labeling.
Goji berries, Poria cocos, American ginseng and other plant materials are extracted, concentrated, and separated into bags of clearly defined extracts, waiting to be sent to countries such as the UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
With the dissemination of excellent traditional Chinese culture overseas, the concept of natural and healthy consumption continues to heat up, and plant raw material products with Chinese traditional medicine characteristics have entered the field of view of overseas customers. Hebeishi, established last year, targets this demand by starting with plant extract raw materials and providing products for customers in the fields of food, dietary supplements, and more.
Ni Rui, the person in charge of Hebeishi, introduced that in the third quarter of this year, Hebeishi's export value reached 2.49 million yuan, a month on month increase of 1921.4%.
Ni Rui said that more and more overseas customers are willing to learn about Chinese herbs and try Chinese formulas. For us, the true acceptance of traditional Chinese medicine around the world does not rely on momentary popularity, but on stable quality and unified standards. From raw material sources and ingredient consistency to quality testing and traceability management, we follow the same set of standards. Only when the standards are established can orders be placed one batch after another
Ni Rui introduced that customer demand has also extended from a single raw material to finished products. In the second half of this year, the company added a finished product production line based on overseas customer orders, and produced American ginseng nutritional supplements, plant compound tablets, capsules and other products on the basis of exporting extracts. In the past, we mainly supplied raw materials according to specifications, but now customers still bring formula and dosage form requirements to negotiate. We connect extraction, formula, and production, and try our best to meet the requirements of the order
In response to the constantly changing export destinations and product forms of enterprises, Yinzhou Customs under Ningbo Customs will move its services forward, focusing on raw material acceptance, production control, finished product testing, and label tracing, to help enterprises sort out target market requirements item by item, and continuously optimize inspection and certification processes.
The same plant may have different requirements for extracting raw materials and making tablets or capsules. By checking the raw materials, production, testing, and labeling in advance, enterprises can have more confidence in delivery. Customs will also improve inspection and certification efficiency while maintaining the bottom line of quality and safety, "said Li Mengyao, Deputy Director of the Inspection and Certification Department of Yinzhou Customs.
According to Ningbo Customs statistics, Yinzhou District exported plant extracts worth 29.4896 million yuan from January to August, a year-on-year increase of 22.05%; The export of plant extracts from Ningbo Port amounted to 421 million yuan. From herbal raw materials, to standardized extracts, and to finished products produced according to overseas orders, more and more enterprises are relying on stable product quality, flexible manufacturing capabilities, and compliance control capabilities to establish a foothold for Chinese herbal products in overseas markets.
