On October 21st, Hangzhou Customs, Ningbo Customs and Yiwu Government announced a collaboration mechanism to enhance Yiwu enterprises' compliance and facilitate export clearance. The three parties will establish a working group, deepen five-area cooperation, optimize port processes, and support Yiwu's small commodity trade (458.38b yuan exports Jan-Sep, up 29.4% YoY). Customs launched measures like "inspection before shipment" and smart supervision.

From Oct 25-26 local time, China and the US held economic and trade consultations in Kuala Lumpur, reaching preliminary consensus on multiple key trade issues. The two sides will fulfill respective domestic approval procedures next, having discussed issues like US 301 measures, tariff suspension, fentanyl, etc. Li Chenggang noted both sides respect each other and will strengthen communication, expressing gratitude to Malaysia.
