The customs has temporarily detained the items.

Recently, Qingdao Jiaodong Airport Customs seized a passenger who illegally brought 73 items (bags, jewelry, medicines, cosmetics), 5400 cigarettes, 1125g tobacco (valued over 100000 yuan) for proxy resale. The case has been filed.

Recently, Weihai Customs (subsidiary of Qingdao Customs) seized 32000 tobacco products illegally carried by inbound passengers via airport channels. The passenger chose no declaration channel; unpacking found 160 heated cigarettes (32000 total). Tobacco entry is restricted—exceeding tax-free quantity (400 cigarettes general, 200 HK/Macau) is illegal. Customs detained the batch.
