Fujian Province's float glass exports grew by 144.9% in the first seven months of this year, ranking fourth in the country in terms of scale

Float glass is a flat glass sheet formed using float glass technology. In recent years, the float glass industry in Fujian Province has accelerated iteration and upgrading, maintaining a strong growth momentum in the global market. According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, in the first seven months of this year, Fujian Province exported float glass worth 230 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 154.2%, ranking fourth in the country in terms of export scale.

The urbanization process in South American countries is accelerating, and the local automobile manufacturing industry is thriving. According to a single country (region), Peru is the largest export single market for float glass in Fujian Province. In the first seven months of this year, Fujian Province exported float glass to Peru worth 26.639 million yuan, an increase of 722.9%, accounting for 11.7% of the total export value of float glass in Fujian Province during the same period. At the same time, the export of float glass to Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Türkiye, Ecuador and other emerging markets has been vigorously developed, with a gratifying growth rate. The export of float glass to them was 16.973 million, 11.134 million, 10.601 million and 8.837 million, respectively, with an increase of 207.8%, 938.3%, 35.4% and 21.9 times.

Private enterprises are the main force of exports. In the first seven months of this year, private enterprises in Fujian Province exported float glass worth 230 million yuan, an increase of 164.1%, accounting for 99.2% of the total export value of float glass in Fujian Province during the same period. During the same period, the independent brand float glass in Fujian Province developed rapidly, with exports reaching 210 million yuan, an increase of 160.8%, accounting for 94.6%.
