On November 18, the 10th China-Vietnam Land Border Port Management Cooperation Committee meeting was held in China, co-chaired by Zhang Baofeng and Wu Zhongjian. It focused on port opening/upgrading, smart port pilot construction, and optimizing port business environment, reaching consensus and signing meeting minutes. China (Xinjiang) pilot free trade zone, listed on Nov 1, 2023, has achieved phased results with institutional innovation as core. By its 2nd anniversary, 81.5% pilot reform tasks were implemented, over 80% 2nd-year targets completed ahead of schedule, 72 provincial innovations promoted, 18,000+ new enterprises established, Jan-Sep 2024 import-export hit 155.331 billion yuan (nearly 40% of Xinjiang's total).
