Jiangmen's foreign trade import/export reached 163.11 billion yuan in Jan-Oct 2025, up 3.8% YoY (higher than national/provincial averages). Exports rose 5.8% (5th in Guangdong), imports fell 7.1%. Highlights: general trade ~79.5%, private enterprises up 10.4%; traditional markets stable, emerging markets (Africa +47.6%) strong; motorcycles exports up 51.2%, integrated circuits imports up 21.5%.

Xinhui dried tangerine peel, a medicinal and edible treasure, has a growing industry. Jiangmen Customs provides full-chain services (filing, clearance, traceability) to support its export. From Jan-Oct this year, 530 tons were exported (14% YoY increase), helping it enter the international market as part of rural revitalization.

Recently, a batch of Lai Le preserved meat was exported to Hong Kong via Jiangmen Customs' offshore customs. Jiangmen Customs implemented "one product one policy" assistance, with 233.1 tons of preserved meat exported (valued 16.726 million yuan) in the first 10 months this year, and strengthened supervision to ensure food safety.

On November 20, 2025, 49 tons of Chilean cherries were the first fresh fruit cleared at Zhuhai Highway Port of HZMB after Gongbei and Hong Kong Customs signed a cooperation memo. Using HZMB's Air Land Fresh Express Line, the cherries (from Chile via air to HK, then cold chain to Zhuhai) take under 30 hours to reach domestic tables. Customs optimize supervision with 24-hour service and cold chain fast track, boosting clearance efficiency and marking a GBA cross-border fresh logistics breakthrough.

On November 20 local time, Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tanzania-Zambia Railway reactivation project with Zambia's President Hichilema and Tanzania's Vice President Ncimbi in Lusaka. The project has made significant progress and started construction. Tazara is a bond of friendship and a landmark of China-Africa cooperation.
