18 meter new energy bus sets sail by boat

On September 1st, 32 18 meter articulated compressed natural gas buses were ready to set sail for Colombia at the Zhifu Bay Port Area of Yantai Port in Shandong Province. This is the first time that the Yantai Port Central South American general cargo shipping route has undertaken the export business of this type of ultra long clean energy bus.

It is understood that these buses have long body lengths, large passenger capacity, and are green and low-carbon, which can adapt to the BRT rapid transit scene in South American cities and have broad market prospects.

Long vehicles, complete sets of equipment, and other heavy and irregular goods have higher requirements for customs clearance efficiency and on-site supervision. The coordination and linkage of various units at the port is the key to the smooth implementation of business. "Liu Xin, the organizer of the Production Business Department of Yantai Port, admitted that if traditional inspection modes are used for such goods, the workload of relocation and handling will be large, and the operation time will be lost, directly affecting the overall customs clearance efficiency.

In response to the difficulties in inspecting oversized special equipment and miscellaneous goods, Yantai Customs, a subsidiary of Qingdao Customs, fully draws on the mature experience of Central and African miscellaneous goods, innovatively implements the work mode of "classified supervision, pre tallying, and timely inspection", adopts convenient measures such as advance declaration and appointment clearance, realizes the "immediate inspection and release of goods upon arrival", significantly reduces the clearance time, and effectively reduces the comprehensive cost of enterprise clearance and logistics.

Before the reform, it took 5 to 6 days for customs clearance and inspection of single ship cargo. Now, through innovative regulatory models, the inspection time for single ship cargo has been compressed to 2 to 3 days, "said Lv Wencheng, head of the Inspection Department of the Yantai Customs Port Office.

In recent years, the export categories of general cargo at Yantai Port have been continuously enriched. In addition to construction machinery and building materials, the proportion of green high-end equipment such as new energy buses and modular equipment has continued to increase. Customs is actively exploring the "Code on Pass" intelligent supervision mode for miscellaneous goods, empowering continuous optimization of the supervision process for irregular and oversized goods with data, and helping more domestic high-end manufacturing to go global.

According to statistics, in the first eight months of this year, the export volume of China Africa liner ships from Yantai Port reached 6.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 88%; Among them, the cumulative shipment volume of the Central South America route has exceeded 1 million tons.
