Xinhua News Agency: Shanghai Customs supervises import and export air cargo volume exceeding 2 million tons in the first half of the year
On August 7th, Shanghai Customs announced that in the first half of this year, the import and export air cargo volume under its supervision was 2.0351 million tons, with a daily average of over 10000 tons, reaching a historical high and an increase of 15.76% compared to the same period last year.
Since the beginning of this year, a series of facilitation reform measures have been fully implemented and coordinated by Shanghai Customs. In the first half of the year, Shanghai Pudong International Airport added 7 intercontinental routes for all cargo aircraft and increased 3 routes for all cargo aircraft. The number of all cargo aircraft flights increased by 20% year-on-year, and the number of overseas all cargo aircraft navigation points increased to 66, providing solid capacity support for the diversion and transit of import and export goods at Shanghai Port.
In June of this year, the intelligent cargo terminal of Zhihui Port at Pudong International Airport was put into operation. Shanghai Pudong International Airport Customs achieved comprehensive digitization of the supervised objects through real-time integration of customs air freight logistics monitoring platform and intelligent cargo terminal warehousing system data; We have launched intelligent supervision services for apron cargo handling with the main content of "one-stop service, immediate release and pickup, and direct transportation", significantly reducing logistics transfer time and minimizing losses during transit. In the first half of the year, 75 related transactions have been processed.
In terms of regional customs clearance coordination, the pre cargo terminal business of Suzhou and Songjiang Airlines continues to deepen. Strengthen collaborative supervision between local and port customs to achieve "one civil aviation security check, one customs inspection, and one local release" for related goods. In the first half of the year, Shanghai Pudong International Airport Customs supervised a total of 6580.5 tons of exported goods from Suzhou and Songjiang pre loading stations.
