Nanping Customs helps the first batch of sweet grapes in the new season to go abroad
In the golden autumn season, the export fruit orchard base in Gaoyang Township, Shunchang, Fujian Province, welcomes a bumper harvest. Full and juicy grapes are covered with vines, and fruit farmers shuttle through the fields to harvest, sort, and load trucks... a busy scene of high yield. Recently, under the supervision of the Nanping Customs Office in Shaowu under the Fuzhou Customs, the first batch of 80 tons of Sunshine Rose grapes in the new season were successfully shipped to Malaysia, marking the beginning of Shunchang grapes' journey to the sea in the new season.
It is understood that due to its unique geographical advantages such as high altitude, large temperature difference between day and night, and fertile soil, Shunchang grapes have excellent qualities such as large particles, thick fruit powder, bright color, high sugar content, and resistance to storage and transportation. They are a local characteristic industry that enriches the people.
In the past, we only exported citrus fruits. With the gradual recognition of the quality of Shunchang fruits in domestic and foreign markets, we have also vigorously promoted grapes to foreign customers this year. Fortunately, we have received intention orders from customers in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and other countries, "said Wang Guoqing, the person in charge of Fujian Shengzhichang Agricultural Development Co., Ltd." But we are not sure if the orchards and packaging factories that export grapes can meet the requirements. After learning about our export demand, Nanping Customs has sent personnel to the fields multiple times to guide the standardized management of export grape orchards and packaging factories, and quickly processed registration procedures for us, allowing us to catch up with this year's grape season. It is expected that the export volume will exceed 3000 tons
In order to ensure the smooth export of grapes in the new season, Nanping Customs took the initiative to provide advanced services before the harvest season. Together with the agricultural and rural departments of the main production areas and township governments, they conducted in-depth research on orchards and intended export enterprises, explained in detail the latest inspection and quarantine requirements of the importing countries and the export registration process for fruit farmers, guided four export grape orchards and packaging factories to successfully complete registration, and created conditions for more local grapes to enter the international market. At the same time, we will strengthen policy guidance and technical services to help export enterprises and planting bases improve the control of agricultural chemical use, monitoring of harmful organisms, and product traceability systems, and ensure the quality and safety of exports from the source. In response to the short shelf life of grapes and high customs clearance requirements, the customs has also opened a "green channel" for exporting fresh agricultural products based on the characteristics of product harvesting and packaging, implementing an embedded supervision mode of "advance declaration appointment inspection rapid certificate issuance" to ensure the fresh export of grapes to the maximum extent possible.
Nanping Customs will continue to focus on the export demand of characteristic agricultural products in its jurisdiction, relying on intelligent supervision and precise services, providing policy guidance for enterprises with 'one enterprise, one policy', and helping more high-quality characteristic agricultural products continue to expand overseas markets, "said Si Chao, the head of the Enterprise Nuclear Department of Nanping Customs Office in Shaowu.
