On November 4th, China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and Congo (Brazzaville)'s Chris Dyer signed an Early Harvest Arrangement of Economic Partnership Agreement in Shanghai. Congo is the first African country to sign such an arrangement with China. China will implement zero tariffs on 100% of Congo's tariff items, and Congo will open its market to China. China will also promote similar agreements with other African countries and apply zero tariffs to 100% of taxable products from African countries with diplomatic ties.
