Recently, Qingdao Jiaodong Airport Customs seized 54 disposable electronic cigarettes, 37 electronic cigarette e-liquids, and 480 cigarettes illegally brought into the country by passengers.
During the supervision of inbound passengers and luggage, customs officers discovered that a passenger who entered through a "no declaration channel" had abnormal baggage inspection images. After unpacking and inspection, 32 disposable electronic cigarettes, 37 electronic cigarette e-liquids (all with a specification of 20 milliliters), and 480 cigarettes were found in his luggage. Subsequently, 22 disposable electronic cigarettes were found hidden in his down jacket pocket, hat, cuffs, and other parts. The parties acknowledge that the purpose of carrying the above-mentioned items is for the purpose of purchasing on behalf of others for profit.
According to relevant regulations, cigarettes are restricted by the state for entry. Passengers are allowed to carry 400 cigarettes, 20 cigars, or 500 grams of tobacco duty-free when entering the country; Passengers from Hong Kong and Macau are allowed to carry 200 cigarettes, 10 cigars, or 250 grams of tobacco duty-free. Passengers entering the country are allowed to carry 2 smoking utensils tax-free; 6 electronic cigarette cartridges (liquid mist) or products sold in combination with smoking accessories (including disposable electronic cigarettes, etc.), but the total liquid capacity does not exceed 12 milliliters. Passengers from Hong Kong and Macau are eligible to carry one smoking device tax-free; Three electronic cigarette cartridges (liquid aerosols) or products sold in combination with smoking accessories (including disposable electronic cigarettes, etc.), with a total liquid capacity of no more than 6 milliliters.
