Fresh aquatic animals from southeastern Chongqing achieve export for the first time
Qianjiang Customs officers conducted on-site supervision on the first batch of fresh sturgeon exported from southeastern Chongqing.
On February 4th, a batch of fresh sturgeon worth 312000 yuan, produced in Shizhu County, Chongqing, was packed and shipped to Vietnam under the supervision of Qianjiang Customs, a subsidiary of Chongqing Customs. They will be served on dining tables outside Shanghai during the Spring Festival period. This is the first time that fresh aquatic animals from southeastern Chongqing have been exported.
The southeastern region of Chongqing is located in the Wuling Mountain area, with clear water quality and suitable climate, which has unique advantages for the development of cold water fish farming. In recent years, relying on superior natural conditions, the local area has vigorously developed the sturgeon farming industry. However, due to factors such as poor international market integration and incomplete export qualifications, this high-quality product has not been able to go abroad for a long time.
Our sturgeon has good quality and delicious meat, but in the past, it was mainly supplied to the domestic market. Faced with overseas demand, we are not very familiar with the export process and overseas standards, "said Shi Shuang, the person in charge of Chongqing Hongyan Rare Fish Breeding Farm.
After learning about the export intentions and difficulties of enterprises, Qianjiang Customs took the initiative to anchor key links such as early registration, daily management of enterprises, and supervision of actual exports through measures such as customs enterprise discussions and "customs chief delivery policies". They carried out full cycle and full chain assistance, focusing on water source management of breeding bases, guiding enterprises to establish a sound quality and safety management system, conducting pre export sampling and inspection of sturgeon, and ensuring that the breeding process and exported products meet the requirements of the destination country. At the same time, in response to the access requirements and technical standards of the target market, Chongqing Customs leveraged its functional advantages to guide enterprises in adjusting their breeding varieties and models, and promptly recommended registration to the Vietnamese side to help them successfully obtain the Vietnamese market access qualifications. Under the guidance of customs, we have a clearer understanding of international rules, avoided many detours, and have more confidence in future exports, "said Shi Shuang." We plan to use this successful overseas expansion as a starting point to further connect with ASEAN markets such as Cambodia and Laos, and strive to achieve an annual export target of 10 million yuan
