Recently, Huangdao Customs seized one suspected infringing diesel engine in the freight channel.

During the on-site inspection, customs officers found that there was one undeclared diesel engine hidden in the actual goods, weighing over 1 ton, with the "WEICHAI" label attached, and there were significant splicing marks on the nameplate. Due to the inability of the shipper to provide proof of authorized use of the relevant trademark, the customs immediately suspended the clearance of the engine and initiated intellectual property protection measures. After on-site confirmation by the rights holder, the engine is indeed an infringing product. At present, the customs have lawfully detained the engine.

According to the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the customs shall protect intellectual property rights related to inbound and outbound goods in accordance with the law; Those who violate regulations by importing or exporting goods that infringe on intellectual property rights protected by laws and administrative regulations shall have the infringing goods confiscated by the customs in accordance with the law and fined accordingly; Those who commit crimes shall be held criminally responsible in accordance with the law.
