Weihai Customs seized 60 bottles of "laughing gas"
Recently, Weihai Customs, a subsidiary of Qingdao Customs, seized 60 bottles of counterfeit "laughing gas" exported through cross-border e-commerce channels.
Customs officers discovered suspicious metal can shaped containers during a spot check of a cross-border e-commerce export shipment declared as "cream foaming agent". After verification, the container contains 60 bottles and 504 grams of nitrous oxide gas. At present, the customs has lawfully detained the batch of goods.
Nitrous oxide gas, commonly known as "laughing gas", can cause a series of symptoms such as hallucinations, delirium, confusion, visual and auditory impairments, and decreased muscle contraction ability when inhaled in large quantities. Severe addicts may experience hallucinations, exhibit manic symptoms, and engage in violent and aggressive behavior.
Laughing gas "belongs to the hazardous chemicals listed in the" Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals (2015 Edition) ". According to regulations, when declaring the import and export of products under the" Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals ", it is necessary to declare to the customs. (Yang Feng/Text)
