By 2025, Yunnan's fresh cut flower exports will reach 1.22 billion yuan (see chart)

According to statistics from Kunming Customs, in 2025, the export value of fresh cut flowers from Yunnan will be 1.22 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 60.5%. The export scale will remain the largest in the country for seven consecutive years, covering 64 countries and regions worldwide.
At the flower planting base in Dounan, Yunnan, customs officers from the Yunnan Central Customs under Kunming Customs are carefully verifying soil data and monitoring records of pests and diseases, and providing on-site guidance on key processes such as fresh cut flower harvesting and sorting. We will move supervision to the fields, strengthen daily supervision of flower planting bases and processing plants, guide enterprises to establish a full chain self-control system from planting to warehousing to transportation, and adopt a 'centralized inspection' mode to compress the waiting time of enterprises to within one working day, "said Yan Kang, head of the Supervision Department of the Central Yunnan Customs.
Quality is the cornerstone for Yunnan fresh cut flowers to open up overseas markets, and customs clearance time is the key to "grabbing fresh" exports. The roses, carnations, and butterfly orchids that were just cut and packaged from the planting base in the morning were quickly loaded onto cold chain trucks and transported to Kunming Changshui International Airport. Customs officers quickly conducted inspections on the "green channel" for exporting fresh agricultural products at the airport according to inspection requirements. These fresh cut flowers soaked in dew can complete all the processes from picking to export in less than 20 hours, and then be transported overseas by cargo planes.
In order to safeguard the freshness of fresh cut flowers overseas, Kunming Changshui Airport Customs has set up a declaration window, implemented round the clock customs clearance guarantee, guided enterprises to use customs clearance facilitation measures such as "advance declaration" and "appointment clearance", and achieved "immediate declaration, immediate review, and immediate release". The customs inspection hotline is also publicly available on site, and the time of enterprises and airlines is coordinated in advance to form a smooth and seamless customs clearance logistics guarantee force.
From the thousands of acres of flower fields by the Dianchi Lake to the fragrant business cards on the world stage, Kunming Customs will continue to improve the "territorial+port" linkage supervision mechanism, promote intelligent and information-based supervision, optimize customs clearance services, and help "cloud flowers" bloom globally.
