23% increase in inbound and outbound passengers, customs help Dalian Airport port smoothly connect globally
Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport Customs actively improves the level of customs clearance convenience at the airport port, proactively alleviates the difficulties that restrict the development of foreign trade, and enhances the vitality and competitiveness of Dalian Airport as a shipping hub in Northeast Asia. In 2025, the customs at Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport will supervise a total of 10800 inbound and outbound flights and 1.319 million inbound and outbound passengers, an increase of 9.6% and 23.2% year-on-year, respectively.
Recently, under the supervision of customs officers at Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport, a batch of cross-border e-commerce goods with a total weight of 2.3 tons were unloaded from a flight from Changsha. Using the "air side direct access" supervision mode, these goods were transported directly to the international cargo supervision area through the internal channel of the apron, taking only 30 minutes for the entire process.
In the traditional mode, export goods transported by domestic flights to Dalian first need to be picked up domestically in the domestic cargo warehouse area, then transported by short haul through social roads, and undergo secondary security checks before entering the international export warehouse area to wait for shipment. The entire process requires four rounds of cargo handover. After implementing the "air side direct" cargo supervision mode, the number of cargo handovers can be reduced from 4 to 1.
The relevant person in charge of customs at Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport introduced that the "air side direct access" supervision mode realizes the "full process supervision and seamless connection" of goods from domestic storage areas to international storage areas. By 2025, the customs have utilized the "air side direct delivery" mode to supervise a total of 270 batches of goods, combined with measures such as "apron direct lifting" and "multimodal transportation", effectively promoting the efficient operation of multiple export channels.
Since the beginning of winter, Southeast Asian tourism has entered a peak season, with a significant increase in the number of tourists traveling from Dalian to Southeast Asia. Last November, Hainan Airlines planned to open a new route from Dalian to Yichang and Bangkok, hoping to obtain approval before the peak tourist season. After learning about the demands of the enterprise, Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport Customs established a special team to guide the enterprise in sorting out and preparing declaration materials, coordinate relevant units to open up cross customs cooperation links, optimize the serial approval process into a parallel mode of synchronous promotion, and finally complete all approval procedures in just 12 days.
In response to the continuous increase in inbound and outbound flights and personnel, Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport Customs relies on "facial recognition+intelligent image review" technology to achieve "seamless clearance" for low-risk passengers, with an average clearance time reduced to 2 minutes; Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport Customs provides on-site guidance and online Q&A to assist and guide inbound and outbound passengers in making appointments for customs clearance, in response to concerns about companion pets' exit quarantine, "exit tax refund", 24-hour transit inspection exemption, and other issues.
