Customs' Wangwang Team 'in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei regions assessed and put on duty
Recently, the customs of Beijing, Tianjin, and Shijiazhuang jointly conducted the annual training and assessment of customs supervision work dogs for the first time. 41 customs supervision work dogs from the three regions participated in the assessment at Tongzhou Customs, which is under the jurisdiction of Beijing Customs. This assessment is an important part of implementing the management system for customs supervision work dogs, and also an innovative practice of cross regional linkage between Beijing Tianjin Hebei Customs.
Customs supervision dogs, relying on their unique olfactory advantages and efficient mobility, play a key role in various scenarios such as travel inspection, inbound mail and express supervision. They can issue warnings for suspicious odors within seconds and work together with technologies such as X-ray machines and intelligent quarantine platforms to build a multi-level and three-dimensional national security prevention and control system.
According to the Customs Supervision Working Dog Management System, each working dog on duty must undergo annual systematic retraining and pass the assessment before continuing to work. The implementation of this system can continuously consolidate and enhance the practical ability of work dogs, strengthen the synergy between humans and dogs, and ensure that they can accurately and efficiently complete various inspection tasks in daily port supervision.
27 beagle dogs, 10 Labrador Retrievers, and 4 Springer Spaniels from customs in three regions participated in the assessment of the real simulated port operation environment on site. The assessment comprehensively covers professional indicators such as human dog collaboration, completeness of search procedures, accuracy of search, standardization of dog handling operations, and anti-interference ability. A team of regulatory experts from Fuzhou, Nanjing, and Gongbei Customs formed an assessment team to supervise and evaluate the joint assessment of customs in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, ensuring the rigor and fairness of the assessment process.
This joint assessment is not only a comprehensive test of the working ability of dogs, but also a successful exploration of the collaborative training mechanism of the three customs, "said the relevant personnel of Beijing Customs. In this assessment, customs trainers from the three regions had in-depth exchanges of experience and unified operating standards, forming effective consensus and working together to improve the overall level of dog use and law enforcement consistency in the region.
At present, all working dogs who have passed the assessment have returned to their posts and continue to undertake tasks such as inspection and sniffing on the front line of customs law enforcement, fulfilling the responsibility of intercepting prohibited and restricted entry items. They faithfully guard the ports of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, contributing solid strength to building a strong national security barrier.
