On the morning of January 9th, the cranes shuttled and ships exchanged at Hongwan Port in Zhuhai, creating a busy atmosphere. A batch of nearly 200 "Zhuhai made" multi unit, split type and other types of air conditioners were quickly loaded onto ships under the supervision of on-site customs officers in Wan Chai, and will soon be shipped to Mozambique to supply the African consumer market.

2026 is the first "China Africa Cultural Exchange Year". In recent years, with the continuous deepening of China Africa economic and trade cooperation, the export business of Zhuhai household appliance enterprises to African countries has grown rapidly. Wan Chai Customs has innovated its supervision mode and optimized its customs clearance process, fully ensuring the efficient export of "Made in China".

This year, our export orders to Africa have maintained a growth trend, especially with significant demand growth from countries such as Tanzania, Mozambique, and Tunisia, "said Ms. Zhou, the customs manager of Gree International Trading Company. The customs provide targeted declaration guidance, and our products are exported smoothly. It is expected that our sales to the African market will further increase this year

In response to the demand for customs clearance of household appliances, Wan Chai Customs relies on the "Customs Enterprise Liaison Officer" mechanism to strengthen policy promotion and declaration guidance, connect with enterprise export plans in advance, open up a "green channel" for customs clearance of household appliances, further improve customs clearance efficiency, and help domestic high-quality household appliances sell well overseas.

We have optimized the customs clearance supervision plan, with goods being reported and quickly inspected upon arrival, to help domestic goods expand into emerging markets in Africa, "said Zou Xibin, head of the Wan Chai Customs Supervision Department.

According to statistics, by 2025, Wan Chai Customs will supervise the export of 2428 batches of various commodities to African countries, with a value of approximately 140 million yuan. (Text/Kong Feiyang)
