On January 11th, the Gongbei Customs' gate customs seized a Macau driver who used the space between the two walls of the trunk to hide 24 mobile phones entering the country at Gongbei Port.
At around 13:00 on that day, a Macau man named Li drove a Guangdong Macau bus through the Gongbei Port for entry. The on-site customs officer found that the machine inspection image of the vehicle displayed abnormalities, and immediately carried out further inspection. 24 mobile phones were found in the space between the two walls of the trunk. After inquiry, the parties involved admitted that the above-mentioned items were brought into the country on behalf of others and were charged a "labor fee".
Customs reminds that according to relevant regulations, those who evade customs supervision by hiding and bring goods that should be taxed according to law into the country are considered smuggling activities. If the circumstances are serious enough to constitute a crime, they will be held criminally responsible in accordance with the law. (Written by Guo Shanshan)
