Recently, Qingdao Jiaodong Airport Customs seized passengers who illegally brought tobacco products into the country through travel inspection channels, and seized 4000 cigarettes and 11 electronic cigarettes.

During the supervision of inbound passengers' luggage, customs officers discovered abnormal images in the machine inspection of a passenger's luggage passing through a "no declaration channel". After opening the package for inspection, 20 cigarettes totaling 4000 and 11 disposable electronic cigarettes were found in the passenger's luggage. The party involved admitted to carrying the above-mentioned items for profit.

According to relevant regulations, cigarettes are restricted by the state for entry. Passengers are allowed to carry 400 cigarettes, 20 cigars, or 500 grams of tobacco duty-free when entering the country; Passengers from Hong Kong and Macau are allowed to carry 200 cigarettes, 10 cigars, or 250 grams of tobacco duty-free. In terms of electronic cigarettes, passengers are allowed to carry two duty-free smoking devices upon entry; 6 electronic cigarette cartridges (liquid mist) or products sold in combination with smoking accessories (including disposable electronic cigarettes, etc.), but the total liquid capacity does not exceed 12 milliliters. Passengers from Hong Kong and Macau are eligible to carry one smoking device tax-free; Three electronic cigarette cartridges (liquid aerosols) or products sold in combination with smoking accessories (including disposable electronic cigarettes, etc.), with a total liquid capacity of no more than 6 milliliters.
