Recently, Yantai Customs, affiliated to Qingdao Customs, investigated and found a case of illegal entry of articles carried by sailors on international voyages. A total of 4 boxes of bird's nest, 7 boxes of perfume and 69 boxes of drugs were seized.
When carrying out on-site inspection, the customs officers found that two crew members of an international sailing ship in Hong Kong had not declared to the customs and brought bird's nests, perfume and medicines purchased overseas into the country. A total of 4 boxes of bird's nest, 7 boxes of perfume and 69 boxes of drugs were found on the spot. The crew stated that the above-mentioned items were brought into the country by others.
According to the relevant provisions of the "Measures for the Supervision of Import and Export Transport Vehicles of the People's Republic of China Customs", personnel carrying goods into or out of the country on import and export transport vehicles shall declare to the customs and accept customs supervision, and shall be limited to what is necessary during the service period, and shall not carry goods into or out of the country for other personnel.
