At 16:50 on January 28th, a "giant" in the air - a Connair B747-400 all cargo plane with flight number K4961, loaded with 105 tons of cargo from Ningbo and surrounding cities, flew from Ningbo Lishe International Airport to North America. This marks the restart of the intercontinental all cargo flight route from Ningbo to Los Angeles.
The "Ningbo Los Angeles" route is operated by American airline Connie Airlines and currently plans to operate two flights per week, scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The goods carried this time include 30 tons of cross-border e-commerce retail export goods, mainly including clothing, hats, shoes, clothing, imitation jewelry, and daily necessities.
It is reported that Los Angeles is the largest aviation hub on the West Coast of the United States. After cross-border e-commerce goods arrive in Los Angeles, they can quickly enter the local distribution network and reach places such as San Francisco and Seattle in as little as one day, greatly reducing the delivery time of the final journey and meeting the high demand for export delivery of small packages in cross-border e-commerce, enhancing the buyer experience.
Previously, Ningbo Airport mainly operated the "Ningbo New York" route to the United States.
The resumption of the "Ningbo Los Angeles" route will alleviate the pressure of "space shortage" for related industries in Ningbo and surrounding cities to export to the United States, provide assistance for enterprises to explore the core consumer market in the United States, and promote high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce trade.
Since January 2026, Ningbo Airport Port has exported over 900 tons of cross-border e-commerce goods to the United States. According to estimates, after the opening of this route, the weekly cargo volume will increase by about 60 tons.
Ningbo Airport is not only a logistics hub, but also a 'service port' for enterprises. In the new year, we will continue to serve Ningbo Airport to expand its international route network, help cross-border e-commerce enterprises seize the export window period, and promote the high-level opening up of Ningbo Airport Port to the outside world, "said Chen Jian, head of the customs and express supervision department of Ningbo Airport.
