Hengqin Customs seized 44 old mobile phones bound to people's bodies

On January 21st, Hengqin Customs, a subsidiary of Gongbei Customs, seized a case of passengers carrying smuggled old mobile phones into the country, with a total of 44 old phones seized.

At 15:20 on the same day, customs officers intercepted and inspected a passenger who had entered through the "green channel" and had abnormal clothing while supervising the entry inspection site at Hengqin Port. The passenger was suspected of having bound items. After further inspection, the customs officers found 44 old mobile phones tied with black straps on his waist, abdomen, and legs.

Customs Reminder: According to relevant regulations, evading customs supervision by hiding and carrying items that should be taxed according to law into the country constitutes smuggling behavior. If the circumstances are serious enough to constitute a crime, criminal responsibility will be pursued in accordance with the law. (Written by Shi Linling)
