The 2026 Customs Health and Quarantine Work Conference was held in Beijing

On January 29th, the 2026 Customs Health and Quarantine Work Conference was held in Beijing. Zhao Zenglian, Deputy Director of the General Administration and member of the Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Chief Inspector Ni Dahang presided over the meeting.
The meeting conveyed the spirit of the State Council's special meeting on the prevention and control of imported infectious diseases, summarized the health and quarantine work, analyzed the situation, and made arrangements. The meeting emphasized that the national customs should consciously benchmark against the important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping, thoroughly implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, accurately grasp the attribute positioning of China's special health and quarantine work in the new era in accordance with the requirements of the National Customs Work Conference and the Customs Comprehensive Strict Governance of the Party Work Conference, deeply understand the new situation and tasks faced during the "15th Five Year Plan" period, and build and improve a modern port public health system. In 2026, efforts should be made to improve the precise prevention and control mechanism, enhance monitoring and early warning capabilities, improve emergency response capabilities, expand high-level opening up services, consolidate the foundation of support and guarantee, do a good job in the health and quarantine work of the Hainan Free Trade Port's customs operation, and focus on various work at the end and beginning of the year, making due contributions to the good start of the "15th Five Year Plan".
Officials from relevant departments and directly affiliated enterprises and institutions of the General Administration attended the meeting at the main venue, while representatives from the Guangdong branch and various directly affiliated customs attended the meeting at the sub venue.
