Cross border e-commerce and bonded goods are transported directly by international highways through express lines
On January 15th, vehicles carrying cross-border e-commerce goods and bonded goods departed from Wenzhou, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Shenzhen, Yinchuan, Urumqi, Kashgar and other places, and were transported directly to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Russia and other countries through international road transportation, achieving "one declaration, one vehicle, one box to the end" in accordance with the Convention on International Road Transport.
The General Administration of Customs previously issued a notice on optimizing the implementation of the Convention on International Road Transport, which includes cross-border e-commerce goods and bonded goods, clarifies declaration standards, and allows enterprises to handle customs clearance procedures through the exclusive module of the international trade "single window", improving the level of convenience and opening up efficient logistics channels for cross-border trade. On that day, customs in Hangzhou, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Shenzhen, Yinchuan, Urumqi and other places took the lead in carrying out pilot projects.
The head of the Port Supervision Department of the General Administration of Customs introduced that the Convention on International Road Transport relies on the customs clearance system and standardized guarantee mechanism recognized by 78 contracting parties worldwide, and there is no need for repeated inspections or inversion along the way, which has obvious advantages in transportation costs and timeliness. The General Administration of Customs continues to optimize the supervision mode and declaration process of international road transportation, improving customs clearance efficiency. At present, there are 272 licensed enterprises in China, and by 2025, they will supervise over 3800 international road transport transactions, a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times. More than 70 international road transportation routes have been opened nationwide, covering multiple countries such as Central Asia, West Asia, and Europe, effectively improving the convenience of customs clearance for international road transportation goods. Next, the General Administration of Customs will help build a stable and efficient customs clearance system for international road transport in three aspects: optimizing supervision services, improving facilitation levels, and expanding application scenarios, to serve the country's opening up and high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road".
