CCTV News: The number of international vessels entering and leaving Shanghai Port from January to November this year reached a historic high for the same period

According to Shanghai Customs information, from January to November this year, Shanghai Customs supervised 42000 international navigation vessels entering and leaving Shanghai Port, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%, setting a new historical high for the same period. Among them, 30000 container ships were regulated, a year-on-year increase of 1%, and inbound and outbound cruise ships increased by 19.1%.

2025 is the final year of the 14th Five Year Plan, and the Shanghai International Shipping Center is moving from the stage of "basic completion" to the stage of "comprehensive completion". Shanghai Customs continues to expand and standardize the channels for ship supply declaration, and collaborates with the Shanghai International Trade "Single Window" platform to promote dynamic QR code verification of ship materials, achieving full online release and creating a "no problem, no disturbance, no response" business environment for water transport ports, helping to enhance the "soft power" of Shanghai Port's shipping services. From January to November this year, Shanghai Customs accepted a total of 110000 batches of ship supply and return material declarations, an increase of 23.6% year-on-year.

In October 2024, the Shanghai Customs participated in drafting the "Several Provisions on the Supply and Guarantee of Drugs and Medical Devices for International Navigation Ships in Pudong New Area", which officially came into effect. Shanghai Port became the first port in China to have the ability to supply drugs and medical devices to international navigation ships. As the centralized management department for ship supply materials, Hongkou Customs under Shanghai Customs actively connects with relevant local governments in Hongkou District and Pudong New Area, deepens the "customs local enterprise" coordination mechanism, and assists in the addition of four newly registered pharmaceutical and equipment supply enterprises; Convene a tripartite promotion meeting for drug and equipment supply to ships, build a docking platform for shipping companies and ship supply enterprises, deepen the integration of shipping and trade, and smooth the application channels; Promote the revision of the "Catalogue of Ship supplied Medical Devices (2025 Edition)", significantly increasing the number of drugs covered from 209 to 724, an increase of 246%, to better meet the diverse needs of crew members for healthy medication.
