According to Xiamen Customs statistics, from January to October, the import and export volume of private enterprises in Xiamen reached a historical high of 437.604 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 16.13%. Since March, it has maintained year-on-year growth for eight consecutive months. Among them, exports amounted to 272.956 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.39%; Imports amounted to 164.648 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.91%, both reaching historical highs for the same period.
Data shows that private enterprises in Xiamen have played a bridging role in connecting with international and domestic markets and enriching the supply of consumer goods for people's livelihoods. From January to October, private enterprises in Xiamen imported consumer goods worth 24.007 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of nearly 1.1 times. Among them, the import of dairy products reached 9.203 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.47 times; The import of edible aquatic products reached 2.931 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.06%; The import of dried and fresh fruits and nuts reached 1.696 billion yuan, an increase of 30.62%. In addition, imported textile, clothing, shoes and hats consumer goods amounted to 2.854 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 77.52%.
In terms of exports, high value-added electromechanical products and characteristic light industrial products have become the main force for private enterprises to export, and are exported to more than 200 countries and regions around the world. The export value of electromechanical products from January to October reached 1200.64 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.25%. Among them, the export of automatic data processing equipment and its components, and lithium batteries were 3.507 billion yuan and 32.666 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 267.48% and 3.28% year-on-year. The export of labor-intensive products reached 76.437 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.97%. Among them, the export of textiles and clothing, furniture and its parts, and toys reached 33.783 billion yuan, 9.533 billion yuan, and 1.029 billion yuan, an increase of 6.77%, 15.30%, and 16.40% respectively.
