Fujian's imports and exports to Africa surged by 18.78% in the first three quarters of the "fast lane" of non trade

Coffee beans and rubber produced in Africa, clothing and shoes made in Fujian... In recent years, benefiting from the effective complementarity of characteristic products, Fujian's economic and trade exchanges with Africa have become increasingly close. According to Xiamen Customs statistics, in the first three quarters of this year, Fujian Province's imports and exports to Africa amounted to 79.772 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.78%, indicating a strong development momentum. Among them, exports amounted to 47.479 billion yuan, an increase of 18.91%; Imports amounted to 32.293 billion yuan, an increase of 18.58%.
From the perspective of product structure, electromechanical products and labor-intensive products jointly lead the growth of Fujian Province's exports to Africa. In the first three quarters, Fujian Province exported 19.053 billion yuan of electromechanical products to Africa, a year-on-year increase of 21.95%, accounting for 40.13%. Among them, automobile exports amounted to 2.872 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.39 times. In addition, the export of high-tech products reached 1.575 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.96%. In terms of imports, the main products are metal ores and mineral sands, crude oil, and agricultural products. In the first three quarters, Fujian Province imported 18.888 billion yuan of metal ore and mineral sand from Africa, a year-on-year increase of 49.37%; Among them, the import of copper ore and its concentrate reached 5.168 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.25 times. The import of agricultural products reached 1.834 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.73%.
From the perspective of enterprise nature, private enterprises are the main force driving the growth of Fujian Province's trade with Africa. In the first three quarters, private enterprises in Fujian Province imported and exported 50.23 billion yuan to Africa, a year-on-year increase of 20.08%, accounting for 62.97%.
According to officials from Xiamen Customs, Fujian Province's "circle of friends" in Africa continues to expand. In the first three quarters, Fujian Province exported to 57 countries in Africa, with South Africa, Nigeria, and Egypt being the top three trading partners. Fujian Province exported 5.211 billion yuan, 5.169 billion yuan, and 3.495 billion yuan to them respectively. During the same period, exports to Senegal, Cameroon, and Tunisia increased by 77.48%, 77.72%, and 68.30%, respectively. In terms of imports, the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa, and Guinea imported 9.35 billion yuan, 7.295 billion yuan, and 4.229 billion yuan respectively, with year-on-year growth of 23.91%, 0.72%, and 91.24%, respectively.
