The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has launched the establishment of a national demonstration base for the development of emerging industries

Beijing, November 24 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a notice to launch the creation of national demonstration bases for the development of emerging industries, and proposed to create about 100 national demonstration bases for the development of emerging industries in park areas and about 1000 national demonstration bases for the development of emerging industries in enterprise areas by 2035.

The Work Plan for the Creation of National Emerging Industry Development Demonstration Bases specifies that the creation of demonstration bases will be oriented towards the national development strategy in 2035 and the 15th Five Year Plan period, focusing on key areas of emerging industries such as new generation information technology, new energy, new materials, biology, high-end equipment, intelligent connected new energy vehicles, green environmental protection, low altitude equipment, aerospace, etc.

The work plan proposes that the demonstration base includes two types: parks and enterprises. The demonstration park focuses on promoting the large-scale and high-end development of leading industry clusters, enhancing the supply capacity of key common technologies, improving the level of scientific and technological achievement transformation and industrialization, and exploring management methods that meet the needs of emerging industry development. Demonstration enterprises focus on strengthening product development, tackling key core technologies and major original technological breakthroughs, developing new formats and models, and promoting innovation in application scenarios.

It is reported that the establishment period of the demonstration base is 2 years. After the completion of the creation period, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize a unified evaluation and acceptance of the created objects, review the completion of key tasks and evaluation indicators proposed in the creation work plan, and form the evaluation and acceptance results.
