China France economic and trade cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results

Beijing, December 4 (Xinhua) -- On the 4th, He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, said that from January to October this year, bilateral trade between China and France expanded in volume and quality, with a trade volume of 68.75 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%; The two-way investment is stable with an upward trend, and the total investment has exceeded 27 billion US dollars.

At the regular press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce on the same day, He Yadong introduced that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China France economic and trade cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results, fully playing the role of the "ballast" and "propeller" of China France relations.

On the morning of that day, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, Energy and Digital Sovereignty jointly hosted the seventh meeting of the China France Entrepreneurs Committee in Beijing. More than 150 representatives of Chinese and French enterprises attended the meeting and conducted discussions on three themes: new paradigms of green and low-carbon cooperation and development, new trends in industrial transformation and consumption change, and new opportunities for cross-border investment in innovative fields. They generally expressed their firm confidence and strong willingness to deepen bilateral cooperation.

He Yadong introduced that the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, Energy and Digital Sovereignty have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Bilateral Investment between China and France. Both sides will support and encourage enterprises from both countries to increase two-way investment, providing a fair, just, non discriminatory, and predictable business environment for each other's enterprises.
