Brazil cancels temporary anti-dumping duty on nylon filament from China

On December 2, 2025, the Management Executive Committee of the Brazilian Foreign Trade Commission (GECEX) issued Resolution No. 820 of 2025, which decided to cancel the temporary anti-dumping duty on nylon filament (Portuguese: fios t ê xteis de filamentos cont í nuos de n á ilon) originating from or imported from Yiwu Huading Nylon Co., Ltd., a Chinese producer/exporter, due to domestic public interest reasons. This case involves products under the tax numbers 5402.31.11, 5402.31.19, and 5402.45.20 of the Southern Common City. The resolution shall come into effect from the date of its publication.

On December 20, 2024, the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (Minist é rio do Desenvolvimento, Ind ú stria, Com é rcio e Servi ç os/Secretaria de Com é rcio Exterior) issued Announcement No. 78 of 2024, initiating an anti-dumping investigation on nylon filament originating from or imported from Chinese producer/exporter Yiwu Huading Nylon Co., Ltd., in response to an application submitted by the Brazilian domestic industry association Associa çã o Brasileira de Produtres de Fibros Artificie Sint é ticas (ABRAFAS) on July 31, 2024. The dumping investigation period of the case is from April 2023 to March 2024, and the injury investigation period is from April 2019 to March 2024. On October 24, 2025, the Management Executive Committee of the Brazilian Foreign Trade Commission issued Resolution No. 805 of 2025, deciding to impose a temporary anti-dumping duty of $1973.23 per ton on Yiwu Huading Nylon Co., Ltd., a Chinese producer/exporter, for a period of six months. Its affiliated enterprises, Jiangxi Jihao New Material Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Yate New Material Co., Ltd., and Yiwu Dingte New Material Co., Ltd., are also subject to $1973.23 per ton.
