The United States launches the fourth anti-dumping sunset review investigation on frozen fish fillets
On December 1, 2025, the US Department of Commerce announced the launch of the fourth anti-dumping sunset review investigation into frozen fish fillets imported from Vietnam. At the same time, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) has launched its fourth anti-dumping sunset review industry injury investigation on frozen fish fillet imported from Vietnam, examining whether the substantial damage caused by the import of the products in question to the US domestic industry will continue or reoccur within a reasonable foreseeable period if the current anti-dumping measures are lifted. Stakeholders shall register their responses with the US Department of Commerce within 10 days from the date of this announcement. Stakeholders should submit their responses to the US International Trade Commission by December 31, 2025, and provide comments on the adequacy of their responses no later than February 10, 2026.
On July 24, 2002, the United States launched an anti-dumping investigation into frozen fish fillets imported from Vietnam. On August 12, 2003, the US Department of Commerce officially imposed anti-dumping duties on frozen fish fillets imported from Vietnam. Subsequently, the United States conducted three sunset reviews and made affirmative final rulings on the case, extending the validity period of anti-dumping duties three times on July 10, 2009, November 28, 2014, and December 1, 2020.
