On November 18, in the production workshop of Huizhou Huamei Food Co., Ltd., workers were using bamboo poles to suspend the film solidified from the surface of soybean milk, and then drying and packing. After being supervised by Huidong Customs officers under Shenzhen Customs, this batch of soy products weighing 2.3 tons will be shipped to Hong Kong. According to statistics, since the beginning of this year, Huidong Customs has supervised over 4000 tons of soy products supplied to Hong Kong.

Huidong County, Huizhou City, is located in the Hakka region and has a tradition of processing soy products. Relying on the ancient craftsmanship that has been passed down for many years and the unique water source conditions, the Rolls of dried bean milk creams and dried bean curd produced and processed are "regular customers" on the dining table of Hong Kong citizens.

Li Huadong, the head of the Inspection Department of Huidong Customs, introduced that "Hong Kong's' Food Preservatives Regulations' clearly stipulate the types and maximum levels of preservatives allowed to be used in various types of food. Due to the high protein content of soy products, they are prone to mold and spoilage once the temperature and humidity do not meet the conditions. Therefore, soy products have extremely high requirements for storage and transportation time," said Lai Hongmei, the person in charge of Huizhou Huamei Food Co., Ltd.

To ensure the safe and efficient supply of soy products to the port, Huidong Customs has dispatched business experts to the production site to carry out legal publicity. At the same time, the customs will increase product sampling efforts, strictly conduct "physical examinations" on multiple indicators such as pesticide residues, heavy metals, and food additives in accordance with instructions, promote enterprises to improve their quality control system that meets export trade requirements, and achieve full chain control from raw material acceptance to finished product delivery.
