Weihai Customs seized 500 yuan of infringing Apple phone back cover

Recently, Weihai Customs, a subsidiary of Qingdao Customs, seized 500 undeclared infringing Apple phone back covers in export shipping channels.

During the inspection of a shipment named "Mobile Phone Protective Case" by the on-site customs officer, it was found that a mobile phone back cover was hidden in the container, with the "iPhone" brand logo printed on the surface. After counting, a total of 500 pieces were found. Confirmed by the relevant rights holders, the unauthorized use of the brand logo on the above-mentioned goods infringes upon their trademark rights. At present, the customs have lawfully detained the above-mentioned goods and imposed administrative penalties on the enterprises involved.

According to Article 44 and Article 91 of the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the customs shall protect the intellectual property rights related to inbound and outbound goods in accordance with the law. If the customs illegally import or export goods that infringe on the intellectual property rights protected by the laws and administrative regulations of the People's Republic of China, the customs shall confiscate the infringing goods in accordance with the law and impose a fine; Those who commit crimes shall be held criminally responsible in accordance with the law.
