The 8th China International Import Expo will be held in Shanghai from November 5th to 10th. Reuters, Associated Press and other mainstream international media have noticed that this year's CIIE has attracted 4108 companies from 138 countries and regions to participate, fully demonstrating the global appeal and extensive influence of this international economic and trade event.
Welcome to join, convey a clear attitude
The Canadian business magazine website BIV focuses on the 8th China International Import Expo, pointing out that this exhibition attracted nearly 50 companies from British Columbia to participate in Shanghai, setting a historical record for the scale of exhibitions.
The report further revealed that British Columbia companies accounted for almost half of the Canadian exhibition group, covering multiple fields such as health and nutrition products, medical equipment, dairy products, food and clothing.
The United States was originally our main market, "said Ron Lin, founder and president of a bee product company from Pete Meadows." But since the US imposed tariffs, we have suspended all orders to the US - the uncertainty there is just too strong
He further stated that the contrast between the East and the West markets is stark. "China has actively opened its doors through the CIIE, not only providing one-stop services such as customs clearance and logistics, but also conveying a clear attitude of 'welcoming entry'
RonLin revealed that his company selected three flagship bee products for the Chinese market when it first participated in the China International Import Expo in 2024, and prepared more new products to "test the waters" in 2025. He said, "We are confident in the potential of the Chinese market. Considering its population base, in the long run, the Chinese market has the potential to surpass the US market
An important gateway to connect with Chinese business opportunities
According to the website of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SBF), SBF will lead over 500 representatives from 57 Singaporean companies to participate in the 8th China International Import Expo. Among the participating companies in this exhibition, there are 39 "old friends" who have participated for multiple consecutive years, as well as 18 Singaporean companies that have made their debut.
The Lianhe Zaobao of Singapore pointed out that the size of the Singapore delegation in 2025 was significantly larger than that in 2024, and nearly 400 representatives of 44 Singapore enterprises participated in the Expo in 2024.
SBF noted that 2025 marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore, as well as the third anniversary of the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement. Singapore has led delegations to participate in the exhibition for many consecutive years, which confirms the common vision of the two countries to deepen trade exchanges, expand cooperation space, and jointly create new growth drivers.
The report also stated that as an important platform for Singaporean companies to explore the Chinese market, the China International Import Expo has helped Singaporean companies create over 533 million Singapore dollars (approximately 2.9 billion yuan) in trade volume since its establishment in 2018, becoming an important gateway for them to connect with Chinese business opportunities.
In addition, SBF and Lianhe Zaobao both noted that the Singapore Pavilion of the Expo will be themed with "New China Huili, Smart Vision of the Future", with a total exhibition area of 1213 square meters, focusing on Singapore's characteristics and advantages in service trade, food and agricultural products, consumer goods and other fields.
Showcasing the determination of China's sharing market
The South African Department of Trade, Industry and Competition released a press release on the 3rd stating that the China International Import Expo is an important platform for companies from various countries to connect with the Chinese market and an effective channel for promoting South African high-quality products and services.
According to reports, South Africa will organize 32 companies to participate in the China International Import Expo in 2025, showcasing competitive products and services.
The report also stated that as an annual economic and trade event, the CIIE has become an important platform for companies from various countries to connect with Chinese importers and buyers.
Data shows that China has been South Africa's largest trading partner for 16 consecutive years, while South Africa has maintained China's position as Africa's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years. According to Chinese customs statistics, the bilateral trade volume between China and South Africa in 2024 is 52.46 billion US dollars, accounting for nearly 20% of the total trade volume between China and Africa. In November 2018, South Africa participated as the guest country in the first CIIE. In November 2023, South Africa will once again serve as the guest of honor at the 6th CIIE.
The Lianhe Zaobao of Singapore mentioned in its report that the Expo is backed by China's big market, and the cumulative intended turnover of the first seven sessions exceeded 500 billion US dollars, helping enterprises from all over the world to jointly cope with fluctuations in the international market, which is enough to demonstrate China's determination to share market opportunities.
The report emphasizes that the China International Import Expo is a major initiative by China to open up its market to the world and a major breakthrough in the history of international trade development. Faced with profound changes in the global landscape, this year's CIIE will inject more certainty into the world through practical actions.
