On September 29th, in the finished goods warehouse of Yantai Penghui Pet Products Co., Ltd., Yantai Customs officers under Qingdao Customs conducted pre shipment inspections on a batch of declared goods named "Plant Cat litter". After passing the inspection, this batch of cat litter products will be immediately sent to overseas markets.
Yantai Zhaoyuan is the main production area of "Longkou vermicelli". After extracting pea starch in the vermicelli production process, a large amount of pea residue waste is generated, resulting in low resource utilization. With the development of circular economy, enterprises are seeking new paths for transformation and upgrading, using pea fiber from soybean residue as the main raw material to produce environmentally friendly plant cat litter, changing the traditional development model of single product and low added value.
Plant cat litter has the advantages of high water absorption, fast clumping, biodegradability, pure nature, and safety. Currently, Zhaoyuan City has gathered more than 20 cat litter enterprises, with technology, talent, raw materials, and markets readily available, and has become an important industrial cluster for plant-based cat litter in China.
As a plant-based cat litter, quarantine and supervision are key factors in ensuring the quality of exported products. Yantai Customs provides full process guidance from raw material control, production and processing to finished product packaging to address issues such as complex classification of pea cat litter products and inconsistent recognition standards in various countries. They compile a list of requirements for admission classification, quarantine certificates, etc., to meet differentiated standards in different countries, avoid foreign notification and return issues, and help enterprises explore overseas markets.
We continuously improve quarantine standards, innovate research and development technologies, and our product processes and comprehensive strength are increasingly recognized by foreign consumers.
