First ticket clearance! Jiangmen Customs opens up the "direct era" of imported fruits in Jiangmen
On the morning of September 17, 2026, the designated supervision site for imported fruits at Jiangmen High tech Port welcomed its first batch of imported fruits. 81.9 tons of fresh longan from Thailand were successfully released after being supervised by the offshore customs under the jurisdiction of Jiangmen Customs, marking a key milestone in the import logistics system of agricultural products in Jiangmen. Local citizens can buy fresh and high-quality imported fruits at their doorstep.
Previously, our fruits had to be transshipped from ports outside the city, which involved multiple links and long transit times, and freshness loss was always a pain point in our operations. This time, we imported fruits directly from the designated supervision site of Jiangmen High tech Port to Jiangmen, significantly reducing our logistics costs and giving us more confidence in expanding our imported fruit business in Jiangmen, "said Jin Wei, General Manager of Jiangmen Fengkong International Supply Chain Co., Ltd.
Fresh fruits have a short preservation period, strict quality control standards, and extremely high requirements for customs clearance time. The offshore customs adhere to the principle of 'supervision in place, service at the forefront', closely monitor the entire chain of fruit import declaration, review, quarantine, and release, implement the 28 facilitation measures supported by Jiangmen Customs for fruit import, promote seamless connection between document review and release operations, and make every effort to ensure fast customs clearance and fresh listing of fruits, "said Su Jing, Deputy Director of the offshore customs.
Port connectivity promotes trade. Jiangmen Customs will continue to leverage its port platform advantages, focus on improving the convenience of customs clearance for fresh agricultural products, and inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of local foreign trade.
