China and Cape Verde sign framework agreement for joint development economic partnership

On September 9th, Li Chenggang, the international trade negotiator and deputy minister, and Antonio Baptista, the Minister of Economy, Trade, Industry and Digital Transformation of Cape Verde, signed the "Framework Agreement on the Joint Development of Economic Partnership between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Cape Verde" (hereinafter referred to as the "Framework Agreement") in Beijing.

The Framework Agreement specifies that both parties will further deepen cooperation in the economic and trade fields, jointly enhance economic resilience and development momentum, focus on sustainable development and inclusive growth, and promote the transformation and upgrading of Cape Verde's agriculture, blue economy, and manufacturing industry. This is the 40th framework agreement signed between China and African countries, which is another practical action to help African countries share China's super large market and vast development opportunities. It will provide long-term, stable, and predictable institutional guarantees for deepening trade and investment cooperation between China and Africa.

Both sides jointly confirm the substantial conclusion of the early harvest arrangement negotiations for the Joint Development Economic Partnership Agreement and engage in exchanges on bilateral economic and trade issues between China and Foshan.
