In the first seven months, Zhejiang's imports and exports to other APEC economies reached 1.77 trillion yuan

The third APEC Senior Officials' Meeting is currently being held in Dalian, Liaoning Province. The latest data from Hangzhou Customs shows that in the first seven months of this year, Zhejiang's total import and export value to other APEC economies reached 1.77 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%, accounting for 50.7% of Zhejiang's total import and export value during the same period. Among them, exports amounted to 1.26 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.5%; Imports amounted to 511.42 billion yuan, an increase of 16.4%. More than 100000 enterprises in Zhejiang have trade relations with other APEC economies, accounting for over 70% of the total number of import and export enterprises in the province.
The United States, Indonesia, and Vietnam are the top three trading partners, accounting for 36.7% of the total import and export value. Emerging markets have shown particularly significant growth, with imports and exports to Peru and Singapore increasing by 40.3% and 34.0% respectively; Imports and exports to Canada, Australia, Malaysia, and Thailand increased by 28.7%, 23.8%, 21.5%, and 20.9% respectively.
From the perspective of export products, the performance of the "new three types" is eye-catching. In the first seven months, Zhejiang exported a total of 35.27 billion yuan worth of electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and photovoltaic products to other APEC economies, an increase of 1.2 times. Among them, electric vehicles increased by 1.9 times, lithium-ion batteries increased by 1.2 times, and photovoltaic products increased by 53.9%. During the same period, the export of electromechanical products reached 569.45 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3%; The export of labor-intensive products reached 335.49 billion yuan, an increase of 6.3%.
In terms of imports, the import of electromechanical products was 107.58 billion yuan, an increase of 24.7%, of which the import of integrated circuits was 33.79 billion yuan, an increase of 42.1%. Metal ore, agricultural products, and energy products imported amounted to 61.21 billion yuan, 46.2 billion yuan, and 42.01 billion yuan, respectively, with an increase of 27.1%, 6.1%, and 28.2%.
Local advantageous industries play an important role in it. For example, Shaoxing is an important textile industry base in China, with a large number of fabrics, synthetic fibers, and home textile products sold to APEC economies. In the first seven months, Shaoxing exported about 98 billion yuan to other APEC economies, an increase of 23%.
