For 17 consecutive months, the import and export scale of Ningbo has exceeded 100 billion yuan

On August 13th, Ningbo Customs released data showing that the total import and export volume of Ningbo reached 906.04 billion yuan in the first seven months of this year, an increase of 7.5% compared to the same period last year, continuing the good growth trend.
Among them, the export value was 623.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9%, and the import value was 282.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%. Especially in July, the import and export volume reached 134.76 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.3%, and the import and export scale exceeded 100 billion yuan for 17 consecutive months.
From a market perspective, diversified markets continue to consolidate, while emerging markets continue to expand.
In the first seven months, Ningbo's imports and exports to the European Union amounted to 160.43 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%, maintaining its position as the largest trading partner; Maintain high-speed growth in ASEAN foreign trade, achieving import and export of 136.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%.
During the same period, imports and exports to Latin America and Africa amounted to 85.45 billion yuan and 60.13 billion yuan, respectively, with year-on-year growth of 11.5% and 19.6%, respectively. In addition, imports and exports to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" reached 449.68 billion yuan, up 5.7% year on year.

In the first seven months, the import and export of private enterprises in Ningbo reached 710.21 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%, driving the total import and export volume of our city to increase by 6.8 percentage points during the same period, accounting for 78.4% of our city's total import and export volume.

In the first seven months, Ningbo exported mechanical and electrical products worth 360.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%, accounting for 57.8% of the total export value of Ningbo during the same period, consolidating the export base.
During the same period, the total export value of "new three types" products was 41.36 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 128.3%. The export value of electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and photovoltaic products under this category increased by 210.9%, 50.1%, and 59% respectively.
The hot production scene within Ningbo Tianhong Electronics Co., Ltd. is a true reflection of the booming development of the new energy manufacturing industry. Business Manager Wang Pengjuan stated that the company is mainly engaged in the design and application of lithium electronic battery protection chips, as well as the production of lithium batteries. Customs has helped improve compliance capabilities and export efficiency from the source. In the first seven months of this year, the company has exported 25 million yuan worth of lithium batteries, a year-on-year increase of 47%.
From the perspective of imported goods, relying on the domestic market and actively expanding opening-up measures, the import of bulk products and high-tech products has maintained a stable and progressive situation.
In the first seven months, Ningbo imported 43.67 billion yuan of bulk commodities, a year-on-year increase of 12.4%, including 33.75 billion yuan of imported metal ores and mineral sands, a year-on-year increase of 15.1%. During the same period, imported high-tech products amounted to 25.48 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%.
