Cixi's exports to Africa reached 3.43 billion yuan in the first half of the year, with energy storage and motorcycle categories leading the way

This year is the Year of People to People and Cultural Exchange between China and Africa, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the opening of diplomatic relations between China and Africa. Various fields of exchanges between China and Africa have become increasingly popular. In the first half of the year, Cixi City's exports to Africa continued to grow, with a total export value of 3.43 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.1%. The two major categories of energy storage lithium batteries and three wheeled motorcycles have shown stronger and stronger growth momentum, leading the way. DeYe Energy Storage and Longjia Power, two customs advanced certified enterprises (AEO), are based on optimizing product supply for local use environments in Africa, and working together to promote new and old industries, becoming the backbone of Cixi's foreign trade growth with Africa.
Ningbo Dechu International Trade Co., Ltd. was an AEO enterprise that obtained advanced customs certification last year. Since the beginning of this year, Deye's energy storage export business has been sprinting at full speed, opening up a high-speed growth model. Among them, it exported 400 million yuan to Africa, a year-on-year increase of 83.9%.
In order to meet market demand, respond to customer expectations, and adapt to multiple scenarios, in addition to 5 kWh and 10 kWh, this year we have launched a new product with a large capacity of 16 kWh or more, with larger energy storage capacity and stronger power supply capabilities, bringing stable and reliable smart energy storage options to households and businesses. AEO has mutually recognized with African countries such as South Africa, and the convenient customs clearance of mutual recognition has enhanced our confidence in delivery. ”The head of the overseas department of the company stated in an interview. She said that Africa is a key market for the company to explore. In response to the shortage of electricity and unstable voltage in Africa, the working system of energy storage batteries will be improved to better adapt to local climate and usage conditions. After years of cultivation, lithium batteries have become the main product in the South African market. At the same time, through further expansion, Nigeria in West Africa achieved exports of 210 million yuan in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 160%.
Ningbo Longjia Power Technology Co., Ltd., which is also an AEO advanced certification enterprise, mainly exports three wheeled motorcycles. This model is suitable for both passenger commuting and agricultural material transportation, and is very suitable for complex road conditions in Africa. The company has developed a cooperation model of "Made in Ningbo, Assembled in Africa". Core components such as car frames and electronic controls have been developed and produced in Cixi, and complete sets of parts have been exported to Africa. The whole vehicle assembly has been completed locally, achieving a significant increase in exports to Africa through win-win cooperation, and also helping the development of local manufacturing industry and labor employment.
Behind the sharp increase in product sales is a keen eye for accurately grasping consumption, a fast pace of innovation, and a continuous transformation and upgrading of cost-effectiveness competitiveness. The head of the foreign trade department of the company admitted in an interview: "More than 10 years ago, we took the lead in developing the North African Egyptian market. In recent years, we have taken various measures to expand to other African countries and enriched our full displacement product line according to local road conditions and other application scenarios. The displacement ranges from 50CC, 125CC to 300C, and electric motorcycles have also become an innovative direction. AEO advanced certification helps us enjoy the convenience of cross-border customs clearance, and we can focus more on product iteration and overseas market expansion. ”
The person in charge of the Enterprise Management Department of Cixi Customs stated that Cixi's foreign trade with Africa has maintained rapid growth, and the synergy effect between new and old industries such as energy storage lithium batteries and three wheeled motorcycles is obvious. The two companies have entered the African market demand to refine their products, explore cooperation models, and provide good reference for local enterprises to go global. We have equipped these enterprises with customs coordinators to assist in solving the difficulties they encounter in customs clearance, technical trade standards, and other aspects. As of August this year, China has signed AEO mutual recognition agreements with five African countries, including South Africa and Morocco, and will further expand the scope of mutual recognition. We believe that enterprises exporting to Africa can enjoy more customs clearance convenience brought by AEO certification
