Qingdao is one of the largest fresh durian distribution centers in northern China. To ensure fresh quality, fresh durians were usually transported by land or air directly to Qingdao and other cities in the north. Although the time was short, the quantity was limited and could not meet the demand of the consumer market. Since the beginning of this year, Qingdao Port has continuously increased its air routes, with 5 new Southeast Asian routes added. The sea transportation from Thailand's Linchaban Port to Qingdao Port only takes 7 days, with multiple flights and good stability. The "North Shanghai Transportation Road" for fresh durians has become a reality.

With the new route from Linchaban, Thailand to Qingdao, the logistics cost of imported durian can save about 50000 yuan per container compared to traditional land transportation, "said Xu Rongyue, General Manager of Qingdao Chengyueda Supply Chain Co., Ltd. It is currently the durian picking season in southern Thailand, and the company plans to import 150 standard containers per month to enrich the entire northern market and better seize market opportunities.

The customs has opened up a 'special channel' for the inspection of imported fresh fruits, and introduced convenience measures such as' priority inspection, immediate release upon inspection, and expedited inspection with conditions for withdrawal '.
