The China Europe freight train (Fuzhou) has accumulated an export value of over 1.6 billion yuan in its fourth anniversary of operation

On July 17th, a train loaded with 55 containers and valued at XX million yuan slowly departed from Jiangyin Port Station in Fuzhou, heading towards Eastern Europe via Manzhouli, marking the 4th anniversary of the operation of the China Europe Railway Express (Fuzhou).

According to data from Fuzhou Customs, since the first China Europe freight train (Fuzhou) was launched in July 2022, a total of 77 trains have been operated, shipping 7918 TEUs of goods with a total value exceeding 1.6 billion yuan. In the first half of this year, the China Europe freight train (Fuzhou) operated 10 trips, sending 1090 standard containers with a cargo value of 242 million yuan, an increase of 100%, 127%, and 136% year-on-year, respectively.

The growth is not only in the number of trips, standard containers, and value of goods, but also in the types of goods on the train. At the beginning of its operation, the China Europe freight train (Fuzhou) transported almost exclusively baby products. Nowadays, in addition to daily necessities, textiles and clothing, and other small commodities, high value-added and high-tech "Made in China" products such as generator sets, CNC machine tools, automotive parts, LCD displays, etc. are also increasingly appearing in the cargo boxes, covering multiple provinces and cities such as Fujian, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Shanghai.

The China Europe freight train (Fuzhou) has significant characteristics of high cost-effectiveness, large transportation volume, and strong safety, allowing more Fujian and surrounding enterprises to safely and conveniently send 'Made in China' out of the country, "said Yu Lei, head of the Putian branch of Fuzhou Railway Logistics Center.

Taking complete sets of industrial mechanical and electrical equipment as an example, traditional sea freight channels transport from Fujian ports to Central Asia, Europe and other countries, with a sea transit time of over 40 days, making it difficult to handle urgent orders from overseas construction sites due to the long transportation cycle. In addition, there are large fluctuations in humidity and temperature differences in sea freight cabins, and metal parts of mechanical and electrical equipment are prone to moisture and corrosion. Electrical control components also experience moisture related malfunctions, which affects the reputation of the company.

The China Europe freight train has opened up an efficient logistics channel for our electromechanical products to reach the Central Asian market, "said Qiu Feiping, General Manager of Fuzhou Jiewo Electromechanical Co., Ltd." After switching to China Europe freight train transportation, we can directly reach major hubs in Central Asia in just 15 days, greatly reducing the delivery cycle and stabilizing the retention of overseas engineering customers. In addition, standardized enclosed freight boxes are dust-proof and moisture-proof, and the arrival rate is significantly improved compared to sea transportation, making us more competitive in overseas electromechanical bidding and market competition

In order to fully ensure the efficient and smooth operation of trains, Rongcheng Customs under Fuzhou Customs has deepened the application of the "Railway Express" mode based on the characteristics of train transportation, realizing one-stop processing of declaration, inspection, and release, and maximizing the release of policy dividends; At the same time, we will continue to optimize our service measures, provide one-on-one guidance for enterprises to quickly declare, implement full-time appointment inspections, ensure that goods are inspected and released as soon as they arrive, and further accelerate and increase efficiency.

With the support of the customs, this year we have launched multiple China Europe trains in the full train express mode, which not only reduces operating costs, but also effectively improves the efficiency of train clearance, shortens the stay time of goods at ports, and reduces the risk of overstaying, "said Jiang Shiping, Deputy General Manager of Fuzhou International Train Service Company.

"At present, the freight value of a single China Europe Express (Fuzhou) continues to stabilize at about 20 million yuan, reaching 15 core node cities in six countries jointly building the" the Belt and Road ", including Poland and Uzbekistan. Customs will continue to play a functional role in providing efficient and convenient customs clearance services to support the high-quality development of the China Europe freight train (Fuzhou). ”Wang Zhenhua, Deputy Director of the Logistics Monitoring Department at the Rongcheng Customs Office in Fuqing, said.
