Yan'an apples exported to Uzbekistan for the first time

On July 8, two batches of 39.7 tons of fresh apples of Shaanxi Shopkeeper Wang Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. were successfully exported to Uzbekistan through Khorgos Port, which was the first time that Yan'an apples were exported to Uzbekistan, marking another new achievement in the Central Asian market of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, which was a joint effort of the old revolutionary base areas to develop characteristic agricultural products.

Yan'an is located in the golden apple growing area of the Loess Plateau, with superior natural endowments. While Yan'an apples have stable sales in the domestic market, they actively explore overseas markets and have been exported to 26 countries and regions worldwide. The dual circulation sales pattern of domestic and foreign markets continues to improve.

Central Asia is a key area for economic and trade cooperation in the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", and also an important incremental market for the export of agricultural products in Yan'an. Our company has sold Yan'an apples to countries such as Canada, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. After receiving the purchase order for apples from Uzbekistan, we considered that we had never been in contact with the Central Asian market before and were not familiar with the quarantine access standards of Uzbekistan. Therefore, we immediately sought help from Yan'an Customs, "said the person in charge of Shaanxi Wangzhangzi Agricultural Development Co., Ltd." After learning about our actual difficulties, Yan'an Customs arranged for a dedicated person to come to our door and explain policies, provide us with full process compliance guidance, help us improve the quality control and traceability system of fruits, and ensure the smooth implementation of this export business

Since the beginning of this year, Yan'an Customs has been deeply promoting 13 measures in the three plans of "doubling, breaking through zero, and boosting" apple exports. Through precise measures such as on-site assistance, policy propaganda, and compliance cultivation, it has guided enterprises to promote standardized planting of orchards and standardized upgrading of packaging factories. The number of export filing orchards and packaging factories in its jurisdiction has doubled, further consolidating the foundation of apple industry exports. At the same time, in response to the demand for fresh fruit exports, relying on smart customs to achieve electronic review of the entire process of exit quarantine, opening a "green channel" for agricultural and food products, and combining convenient modes such as reporting and release, remote local inspection, etc., it has continuously compressed the clearance time and pressed the accelerator button for old area apples to go abroad, "said Liu Jingjing, head of the Inspection Department of Yan'an Customs, The successful export of the first order has further expanded the export channels of Yan'an apples in Central Asia, enriched and improved the trade layout of agricultural products in the old areas. According to statistics, in the first half of 2026, Yan'an Customs supervised the export of 3196.8 tons of fresh apples, a year-on-year increase of 89.6%.
