The first cargo of Yantian Port's water to water multimodal transport departs

On July 20th, a container loaded with 480 TCL air conditioners was transported from Zhongshan Port to Yantian Port in Shenzhen. After being supervised by Dapeng Customs under the jurisdiction of Shenzhen Customs, it was loaded onto the "Oriental Wisdom" ship and sailed to Poland. This is the first export cargo from Yantian Port completed under the customs supervision mode of water to multimodal transportation, marking the successful implementation of this new mode in Yantian Port.

As the world's largest single container terminal in terms of throughput, Yantian Port has 16 barge branches and a transportation network covering the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as the southwest and central regions. It provides efficient transit services for over 100 international routes every week. In the past, when goods were transferred through inland river ports, they had to go through customs procedures along the way, which involved many links and the overall circulation efficiency was not high enough. The hub advantage of Yantian Port was not fully utilized.

Under the new model, operators only need to submit a multimodal transport application form at once to cover the entire transportation process, and support mid way loading and changing logistics routes within the country. Deng Xiaopeng, the head of the Transport and Logistics Monitoring Department at the Shenzhen Customs Port Supervision Office, introduced that "this model significantly reduces the number of declaration data items, realizes cross customs collaborative interaction of multimodal logistics information, adapts to complex multi-stage water transportation transfer scenarios, and significantly improves business flexibility

To ensure the smooth implementation of the new model, Shenzhen Customs has established a cross district information sharing mechanism and a 24-hour business response channel to track the entire process of goods declaration, transfer, loading and departure in real time, timely alleviate operational bottlenecks and difficulties, and ensure efficient export of goods in a "one-stop" manner.
