On July 8th, under the supervision of Tianjin Xingang Customs, 58.7 tons of New Zealand kiwifruit that crossed the hemisphere were inspected at Tianjin Port and sent to major fresh markets in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region as soon as possible.
Fresh fruits cannot afford to be delayed, and we are most afraid of taking too long. Customs guided us to declare in advance, allowing fresh kiwis to clear customs smoothly in half a day, ensuring the freshness of the fruits is fully guaranteed, "said Wen Juan, the business manager of Baichuan Xunjie (Tianjin) International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd.
As an important import fruit port in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, Tianjin Port is an important hub for New Zealand kiwifruit to enter the domestic market. With the arrival of summer, the sales of high-end fresh fruits in China continue to rise. Tianjin Xingang Customs has established a "green channel" for imported fresh and perishable agricultural and food products based on the perishable characteristics of fresh products, providing appointment inspection services and realizing goods inspection upon arrival. By using intelligent document review and intelligent inspection assistants, the clearance time can be further reduced, while ensuring food safety and national biosafety, and minimizing the stay time at cold chain cargo terminals.
According to statistics, from January to June this year, Tianjin Xingang Customs released 77000 tons of imported fruits with a value of 330 million yuan, an increase of 7.9% and 8.6% year-on-year, respectively. (Zhao Lijie/Text)
