On the evening of June 17th, the cross-border e-commerce customs inspection platform remained busy in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park. Cross border e-commerce packages are rapidly circulating on the CT sorting line, many of which are domestic products such as clothing, household items, and fast-moving consumer goods. These packages will soon be sent to overseas consumers through the Zhuhai International Freight Port.
During the "6.18" promotion period, such busy scenes have become the norm. In the logistics park, under the collaborative supervision of Wan Chai Customs and Doumen Customs under Gongbei Customs, the "park inspection+land connection+airport direct flight" model has achieved seamless integration of cross-border e-commerce exports. The package achieves rapid distribution and efficient customs clearance through on-site inspection, loading and transportation, and direct port access, bridging the "last mile" of cross-border e-commerce exports.
At the same time, the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge also experienced a peak in shipments. The Daqiao Port has 24-hour customs clearance and direct access to Hong Kong and Macau airports. The logistics link is short and the transfer is fast. The new model of "nationwide gathering, Zhuhai gathering, shipping to Hong Kong and Macau, and global connectivity" has attracted cross-border e-commerce leaders such as Cainiao and Xiyin to gather here. Since June, the cross-border e-commerce export business at Daqiao Port has reached a small peak, with nearly 500 cross-border e-commerce trucks and 2 million packages departing from here every day, heading to more than 200 countries and regions around the world.
Before this year's 618 shopping festival, major domestic and foreign merchants stocked up in advance, and our cross-border e-commerce shipment volume far exceeded the same period last year. Since May, we have exported over 5.7 million e-commerce products to Hong Kong, Macao and overseas markets, and our business scale continues to expand, "said Li Haijian, Deputy General Manager of Zhuhai Huichang Transportation Investment Co., Ltd., the operating unit of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park.
In response to the high requirements for cross-border e-commerce land air intermodal transportation and customs clearance timeliness during the peak logistics period of the "618" shopping festival, Gongbei Customs has arranged a dedicated person to coordinate with enterprises' export plans in advance, timely grasp the stocking situation and customs clearance needs, scientifically and reasonably allocate regulatory resources, actively coordinate with operating units such as Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park to upgrade hardware equipment, optimize the layout of various functional areas in the venue, standardize the operation order of the site, improve the overall customs clearance efficiency, and adapt to the surge in business volume during the big promotion period.
Before and after this year's 618 shopping festival, e-commerce stations such as the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park experienced a peak in exports, and the daily supervision and release of e-commerce goods by Wan Chai Customs increased significantly, with unprecedented popularity. We optimized our manpower deployment in advance, combined with convenient measures such as' delayed operations', to ensure the efficient export of high-quality domestic e-commerce products, "said Hu Xinxin, Deputy Director of Wan Chai Customs Supervision Section 2.
According to statistics, since June, Gongbei Customs has supervised over 2700 cross-border e-commerce retail export goods and over 16 million listed packages. (From Gao Linqian, Zhou Lingxiang, Yang Yimeng)
