On June 29th, in the breeding workshop of Dalian Haolin Aquatic Products Co., Ltd., 840 live flounders were successfully cleared and released after passing inspection by customs officers on Changxing Island in Dalian. They were then exported to Vietnam by land transportation. This is the first time that live flounder from Dalian has been exported to overseas markets.

It is understood that flounder mainly inhabits the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, and East China Sea in China, with excellent meat quality and outstanding economic value. In recent years, the flounder industry in Dalian has established a standardized breeding system that includes breeding of parent fish varieties, artificial breeding and hatching, seedling cultivation, and commercial adult fish fattening.

The demand for flounder fish in overseas markets has always been strong, and we are planning to launch the export business of live flounder fish. However, the export of live fish is completely different from ordinary goods, with high requirements for timeliness and environment, "said Zhang Bo, General Manager of Dalian Haolin Aquatic Products Co., Ltd.

After understanding the actual difficulties faced by the enterprise, Dalian Changxing Island Customs provided one-on-one guidance to help the enterprise improve the full chain management of water quality monitoring, disease prevention and control, animal medicine management, and other aspects; At the same time, pushing Vietnamese aquatic animal import regulations, quarantine standards, and admission rules to enterprises to help them effectively avoid trade risks; Establishing a "green channel" for the export of fresh aquatic products, achieving "inspection upon arrival and release upon inspection", reducing customs clearance time, and ensuring the freshness of exported live fish.
